CSI - KGCE is organizing  a brief seminar on Right click. Explore! SEMINAR!!!.

The seminar has been primarily arranged for F.E and S.E,but all interested students can attend the seminar.

Details about the seminar are as follows:

Venue - SEMINAR HALL.
Date- 26th August,2015
TIme- starts at 9:30am
Fees - No Registration Fees.

The registration for the seminar will be on first come first serve basis.

The CSI-KGCE administration is as follows.

Student Branch Counselor - Mr. S. M. Patil . 

Faculty members -Prof. V. M. Kharche,Prof. Anup Kunte, Prof. J. P. Patil, Prof. H.G. Dagade

All other faculty members supervising over the various individual committees of students.

The student administration council of CSI-KGCE is headed by the Chairman.
The portfolios are classified and described below.  : 

  • Core committee members [Executive committee + Non- Executive committee]- Reporting to chairman &   SBC.
  • Working committee heads - Reporting to Chairman/Vice Chairman. 
  • Working committee members - Reporting to respective Committee Heads.

Executive committee --

1. Chairman   -   Final decision approving authority among students.

2. Vice-chairman [Admin]  &  Vice-chairman [HR] - Chairman's substitute in his absence. Otherwise he/she will be a pseudo chairman with monitoring powers but not decision approving.

3. Secretary  -   Plan and execute meetings,Write and maintain all documents like letters, reports [eg. meeting report, event reports, annual reports ] , notices, rule books etc.

4. Treasurer  -  Maintain finances, plan and refine the annual budget after preliminary recommendations by budget committee and estimate costs , maintain proper accounts,act as the only student bank account operator along with two faculty for bank transactions,handle liquid cash, write the annual and event wise financial reports, maintain all bills/invoices receipts. should already be a PAN card holder.


Non executive committee --

5. Joint Secretary - working closely as the secretary's assistant and a substitute in absence.

6. Joint Treasurer - working closely as the Treasurer's assistant and a substitute in absence but without executive and approval powers. identifying more sources of income and working  on them.


Working committees --  

7. IT Committee -  Maintaining the blog and all the online presence, creating ad n publicity graphics,maintaining all softcopies,creating new applications for csi / college etc. 

8. Membership Committee -  canvassing & improve memberships, carrying out membership drives maintaining member records and csi alumni records. 

9. Grievances Committee -  working on solutions to reported problems. 

10. Resource and planning Committee  -  Searching & identifying resource persons,planning the events and the events calendar 

11. Purchase and Dead stock Committee -   Identifying purchase items.Searching for best purchase deals.Maintaining the dead-stock details. 

12. Budgeting Committee -  Interacting with all committees and event planners and estimate expenses beforehand. Tracking the expenses and suggesting corrective measures. 

13. Library and literary Committee -  Handling the CSI library, the journals, history book etc.. 

14. Public and other bodies relation Committee –  seeking permissions,collecting event feedback online, conducting polls/surveys etc communications with members/ other technical societies/ guests/ resource persons/ other institutes/ other college's student branches etc etc.. No communication shall release without secretary's & chairman's consent. 

15. Projects Committee -  encouraging and tracking  in house requirement projects / external competition projects /   proposing R&D projects to and from members, encouraging innovative projects and entrepreneurship . 

16. CSI Social events committee - plan and manage social events if feasible. (annual party/csi award functions for participants & committees, picnics etc ) 

17. Graphics Committee -  Create flex,banners for the CSI events and advertisements for the events as per requirements. 

18. Survey Committee -  Do surveys and analysis of technical events and techfests organized around in other Engineering colleges and provide input for conducting similar events for CSI -KGCE.


Event specific Working committees --

Though these committees are specific to events, events are expected round the year and for the betterment of event quality, the planning should begin months in advance. Hence committees will be formed for events along with other general committees.

19. Certificate Committee -  Managing everything about certificates/ medals/ prizes etc. 

20. Publicity Committee -   Event specific publicity measures. 

21. Sponsorship Committee -  Overall sponsorships and event wise sponsorships will be a responsibility 

22. Events Organizing Committee -  Organizing and executing the planned Events. 

23. Refreshment & transport committee -  handling the judges and working members refreshments and coupons. making transport arrangements for guests/ resource persons etc. 

24. Discipline Committee -  maintain order n discipline during events.

CSI-KGCE is organizing An Electronics Hacking and Home Automation Workshop by Karan Makharia and Kshitij Dadhekar. 

Hardware Kit and CD will be provided.
One Laptop  in a group of 3 is Compulsory.

CSI-KGCE had organized an Inter collegiate Workshop on Mozilla Boot Camp on 9th Aug 2014.
The Event had a Successful Outcome and the topics that were covered are:
  • Firefox OS.
  • Rust Prog. Language.
  • Bugzilla.
  • Web Maker.
The Organizers also Introduced to new Firefox Device (mobile/tablet) and provided the chance of becoming a Mozillian and the Open Source code of their new OS.

CSI-KGCE had organized an Intra College Workshop on Rubik's Cube on 27th Aug 2013 by the Organisers of CSI-KGCE heads.
Rubik's Cube is a logic game and Maths puzzle that develops critical thinking and spatial reasoning skills.
The Workshop involved the technique/Algorithm for solving the Rubik's Cube in Simple ways.

CSI-KGCE had organized an Inter collegiate Workshop on Ethical Hacking in association with ABLEBRAIN (A venture by Alumni of IIT BOMBAY).

CSI - KGCE has successfully completed three years in technical calendar and has conducted and organized various events through out these academic years in KGCE with great enthusiasm.

Time has come to pass the baton and thus CSI - KGCE will be electing new members for all Committees for upcoming year 2014-15.
