Selection policy 2011-12

  Also visit  http://csikgce.blogspot.com/2011/06/updatefinally.html

Now few words about selections process policy :

1) selections were done by multiple faculties from both departments together to avoid subjective influence.
2) The approach was to maintain the COMP-IT & guys-gurls balance & try build an optimal team rather than  an individual oriented lineup.
3) The student coordinators of the establishment process had no say and were treated at par with others.
4) The ideal way would have been to conduct interviews but given the number of candidates & time constraints, it wasnt feasible. Hence to allow us to have some basis of differentiation, there was that lengthy application form on the blog in addition to what we have known you all as.
5) From next year onwards, the outgoing student executive committee will also be an additional part of selection committee and work done for CSI-KGCE will be the first factor. But as this is the first year, we wanted to keep a balance of experienced candidates and also giving opportunity to other inexperienced ones.
experience being- spring fiesta-sports & cultural both, ieee, academics etc etc..
6) In case of tie, higher sem students were given preference coz lower sem ones have got few more years to go & hence more chances. Also its best to work @ junior level first before graduating at a higher level.
7) Non performing portfolio holders may be removed & replaced by deserving ones later.
8) Intermittently some small scale events should be organized and be headed by non portfolio holders to give a fair chance to all.

I opine that posts donot shape up personality, the ground work that we do to stand out does!!

This is not to present myself as answerable to everyone but as a voluntary explanation to try n keep CSI-kgce dirt free & ensure a transparent, speculation free beginning as well as a clean lifetime.
Yesss..I'm very much attached wid dis thing and anxious too. Expecting evryone to treat it as a family & yet be professional in work!!
